Membership Awareness Week
Every Chapter should have a continual focus on bolstering its membership. That is, month after month, under the direction of Presidents and Membership Chairs, Chapters should be either conducting some sort of membership drive or having an initiative directed toward recruiting new members to the Chapter.
During Membership Awareness Week, AmSpirit Business Connections is calling on all Chapters to do something extraordinary to create awareness for the Chapter and, more importantly, its membership.
To this end, we are asking all Chapters during Membership Awareness Week to conduct a special meeting (during the normal weekly meeting time) where each member is encouraged to bring anyone from their stable of personal or professional contacts – even if the individual is not necessarily a candidate for membership. Whether these people are employees, employers, clients, friends, acquaintances, associates, neighbors, colleagues, vendors or suppliers, their presence at the Chapter meeting during Membership Awareness Week will serve to benefit Chapters and members.
Whether or not these Chapter guests are viable candidates for membership in AmSpirit Business Connections is not important. As everyone has at least 250 contacts, the guests will be exposed to your Chapter and its membership. This will serve to generate leads for new members as well as referrals for existing members.
Please earmark the date of your Chapter meeting during the week of September 22nd through September 26th 2014 for a special Membership Awareness Week program and use this Event Planning Kit to assist your Chapter in making this a successful event for all your members.
