It is easy to do – before someone else is finished sharing a thought or answering a question, you interject or answer. This is not only potentially embarrassing, but it is a telltale sign that you might not be terribly interested in listening.
Do not jump to make conclusions about what is being said. Listen. Really listen. Notice their tone, voice inflection and body language. You should hear them out and take a deep breath before you respond.
