Gold medal Olympian, hurdler and humanitarian, Wilma Rudolph, once remarked, “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. The potential for greatness lives within each of us.”
What Rudolph was driving at is that no matter who you are, no matter where you came from, or no matter where you are right now, you have every ability to be something more.
She’s right. You have the potential to advance your life. You can be operating at a higher plateau. You can be that much closer to greatness. But it starts with your vision for yourself.
Don’t be afraid to dream. Don’t be afraid to long for something more. Don’t be afraid to close your eyes and envision what your potential can be. Yes, achieving things will involve much more, but you can’t get started without a dream.
